Dr. Michael Rodríguez, MD, MPH, is seeking an undergraduate student worker to join his team for Summer 2017. The student worker will work under the supervision of Dr. Rodríguez at the UCLA Blum Center on Poverty and Health in Latin America. This student worker will assist Dr. Rodríguez and Dr. Nancy Burke, Ph.D. from UC Merced, to develop the online Innovative Learning Technology Initiative (ILTI) course, “Migration and Health”. This course is part of the UC Global Health Institute suite of online courses that will be available to students at all UC campuses. The student will work on a multi-disciplinary team with Dr. Rodríguez and Dr. Burke as they implement the course content into an online format and identify ways to engage student learning online.
Qualifications: The student must be able to work independently and must possess outstanding initiative, organizational skills, and communication skills. Candidates should have a strong interest in migration, health and developing web-based curricula and should be available to work up to 20 hours a week.
